To provide a method capable of controlling particle diameter of a nickel cobalt mixed sulfide in a desired range at relatively low cost without reducing nickel recovery rate.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of nickel cobalt mixed sulfide, including a process for conducting a sulfidation treatment by adding hydrogen sulfide gas and sodium hydrosulfide solution to a reaction tank while supplying a sulfate acidic solution containing nickel and cobalt generated by acid leach of nickel oxide ore, and a process for removing a poor liquid from a slurry containing a nickel cobalt mixed sulfide particle generated in the sulfidation treatment, then taking out a part of a condensed slurry of the resulting nickel cobalt mixed sulfide particle and returning the same to the reaction tank as a seed crystal, in which particle diameter of the nickel cobalt mixed sulfide particle is controlled by amount of the seed crystal returned to the reaction tank and added flow rate of the sodium hydrosulfide solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
