To provide a failure mode specifying system and the like for appropriately specifying a failure mode of an apparatus.SOLUTION: A failure mode specifying system 10 comprises a communication unit 11 for acquiring data including a detection value of a sensor 22 which is installed at an apparatus 20, an apparatus structure parameter estimation unit 14 for estimating a predetermined apparatus structure parameter based on structure and characteristics of the apparatus 20 on the basis of the data acquired by the communication unit 11, a failure mode specification unit 16 for specifying a failure mode which indicates the type of a failure or failure symptom of the apparatus 20 on the basis of the apparatus structure parameter and an input/output unit 18 for presenting the failure mode specified by the failure mode specification unit 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
