To provide an auxiliary artificial heart system and blood pump controller which apply a less load to a user and have high portability.SOLUTION: An auxiliary artificial heart system comprises: a blood pump 400 which is used while supplying a cool seal liquid L1 to a gap 454 between first and second slide surfaces 411, 421 in a state of bringing the first slide surface 411 into contact with the second slide surface 421; a first sub controller 100 including a first cool seal liquid reservoir 110, a cool seal liquid pump 120, a first pipe joint upstream side 221a and fourth pipe joint downstream side 224b; and a second sub controller 200 including a blood pump drive circuit 250, a battery 260, a first pipe joint downstream side 221b, a second pipe joint upstream side 222a, a third pipe joint downstream side 223b and a fourth pipe joint upstream side 224a. The first and second sub controllers 100, 200 can be mutually separated and joined by detachment/attachment of the first pipe joint 221 and fourth pipe joint 224.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
