To provide a foam heat insulation paper container excellent in adiabaticity and beautifulness of a surface by reducing variation depending on locations of permeation amount of steam generated from a paper substrate and foaming a thermoplastic resin layer uniformly, a paper substrate for the foam heat insulation paper container and a sheet for the foam heat insulation paper container used for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a paper substrate 3 for foam heat insulation paper container having a crosslinked ethylene modified polyvinyl alcohol layer 2 on at least a single side surface of a paper substrate 1. Also there is provided a sheet for the foam heat insulation paper container having the crosslinked ethylene modified polyvinyl alcohol layer between the paper substrate and a thermoplastic resin layer. There is provided the foam heat insulation paper container using a foam heat insulation paper on at least one of a body member and a bottom sheet member, the foam heat insulation paper having a form resin layer consisting of a thermoplastic resin on at least a single side surface of the paper substrate and the crosslinked ethylene modified polyvinyl alcohol layer between the paper substrate and the form resin layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
