METHOD FOR FOLDING AND SEWING INTO SLEEVE-PLACKET

To provide a method which folds a sleeve placket cloth into a sleeve placket with the sleeve placket cloth superposed on a sleeve cloth and then sews it to the sleeve cloth, thereby facilitating a positioning work and efficiently performing a sewing work, allowing for obtaining a good sewing quality by preventing a piercing trace of a sewing needle from appearing on a cloth surface of the sleeve placket or preventing cloth fibers of a piercing point from being pulled out to the front side of the cloth thanks to sewing the sleeve placket on the sleeve cloth, and also allowing for easily performing a pattern matching work of the sleeve placket cloth and the sleeve cloth even in patterned clothing.SOLUTION: A sleeve cloth is set on a body table with the front side facing upward, followed by superimposing a sleeve placket cloth on the sleeve cloth in a state where the front side of the sleeve placket cloth faces downward, a sleeve placket body portion is superimposed on one end of a cuff cut, and a portion folded to the rear side is located on the underside of the other end edge of the cuff cut. Subsequently, the sleeve placket is formed by folding the sleeve placket body portion of the sleeve placket cloth toward the portion folded to the rear side with a template pressed against the other end edge of the cuff cut, and then folding the side edge so that the front side faces upward, which is followed by obverse-side sewing it on the sleeve cloth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
