To provide a string of double twist guqin which is provided with excellent stability and the temperature of a silk string, and at the same time is provided with a quaint tone color, and which does not damage a finger while holding a runner sound peculiar to a silk string, and which is wound in an inner and outer reverse direction with a large twist angle, and to provide a method for manufacturing the string.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a string of double twist guqin includes an axis line 10 and a plurality of coating layers 20. Each coating layer includes a plurality of windings 21. The plurality of windings are abutted against each other and cover an adjacent coating layer or axis line on the inner side in the radial direction of the axis line. The twist angle of each winding to the axis line is between 10 degrees and 30 degrees, and the inclination direction of the windings of any two adjacent coating layers is opposite to one another.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
