To detect a target by separating it to a speed axis and a range axis with a high resolution equal to or less than a Doppler resolution and a range resolution.SOLUTION: In a pulse compression radar device, an eigenvalue of a correlation matrix generated by a signal extracted from a sum signal and a difference signal is obtained, and the number of eigenvalues derived from a reflection signal is estimated by comparison with a noise average value observed in another sequence.
