PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent ground components from invading a fitting groove of a joint, and to control an increase in the construction cost of an underground wall and an impermeable wall and the complication of a construction work, when driving a steel sheet pile in the ground.;SOLUTION: By filling a steel sheet pile, which has been driven in advance, and fitting grooves S and X of a joint portion with a water blocking material to make it in a closed state, a ground components such as sediment and pebbles that impede the performance of water blocking is prevented from invading the fitting groove of the joint portion. In a next following steel sheet pile driving process, the joint portion is fitted and completed according to the movement in the direction of driving the sheet pile while gradually cutting off or breaking off the water blocking material with the joints E, F, G, etc. at a tip of a hook portion. As a result, it is possible to fill a gap of the fitting portion with a water blocking material (such as a water expansive water blocking material) that does not contain foreign matter, and it is a water blocking material that fills the space that can always be made in the fitting portion even with the change of shape, and sufficient water blocking of the sheet joint is obtained.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
