To provide a portable work machine capable of stably holding a blower body, and improving workability.SOLUTION: An engine blower 100 as a portable work machine, is equipped with a blower body 1; a frame 2; and a duct 3. The blower body 1 has a casing 11, an impeller 12, and a driving portion 13 attached to a casing one side portion on one end side in an extending direction of a rotary axis X1 of the impeller 12 in the casing 11, and discharges a spiral end portion 11a in an upper part of the casing 11. The frame 2 has a grip portion 21 for a worker, is annularly formed so as to surround the driving portion 13 of the blower body 1, and holds the blower body 1 while coupling with an outer edge portion on the casing one side portion. The duct 3 is attached to the spiral end portion 11a to extend toward the front side of the blower body, and circulates air discharged from the spiral end portion 11a to blow out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
