To estimate a visual line direction with a simple configuration and considering effects of refraction in a cornea of an eyeball.SOLUTION: A visual line direction estimation device estimates a center position of an eyeball and a center position of an apparent pupil using an eye feature point on a photographed image to derive an apparent visual line vector (S100 to S108); derives an angle formed by the apparent visual line vector and a vector from the center position of the eyeball toward a camera (S110); derives an angle correction amount by extracting a corresponding visual line error ρ from a map (S112); and derives an actual visual line direction (visual line vector) in a camera coordinate system using the angle correction amount (S114, S116). As a result, even when the visual line direction is derived without considering refraction of light in the cornea of the eyeball, the actual visual line direction can be derived with high accuracy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
