To provide a bookshelf having vibration control performance, which damage due to an earthquake can be suppressed although its structure is simpler than that of a base isolation device.SOLUTION: A bookshelf 10 comprises side plates 11, frames 12 connecting the side plates 11 to each other, and shelf plates 13, wherein on a back side of the shelf plate 13, a back plate 20 is provided. The back plate 20 is connected to the frame 12 through a damper 21, wherein the damper is composed of a spring material. Further, it is preferable that the back plate 20 is composed of a resin-based honeycomb core sandwich panel, and the damper 21 is composed of a vibration control rubber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
