To provide a driving assisting technique with which it is possible to guide the own vehicle to a destination while reducing the burden on a driver.SOLUTION: The driving assisting device comprises a generation unit for generating an image that represents a virtual vehicle, and a superimposition unit for superimposing the image that represents the virtual vehicle on a landscape image that represents a landscape around the own vehicle. The image that represents the virtual vehicle is superimposed on an area that corresponds to a location in the landscape image where the own vehicle should travel from now. The location where the own vehicle should travel from now moves along a guidance route to the destination of the own vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
