To achieve a cleaning mechanism that can remove an attachment attached to a light guide member despite its simple configuration, in each of a lighting unit, a drum unit, an image forming apparatus, and an image reading device.SOLUTION: A light guide member 72 is formed in an elongated shape, has an incident surface 77 at one end in the longitudinal direction, and has emission surfaces 78, 79 that emit light in directions intersecting with the longitudinal direction. A light source 71 emits light toward the incident surface 77. A cleaning member 74 is provided movably between an initial position P11 determined at one end of the light guide member 72 and a terminal position P12 determined at the other end along the longitudinal direction while in contact with the emission surfaces 78, 79. A moving mechanism 80 applies a driving force to the cleaning member 74 to move the cleaning member 74 along the longitudinal direction, thereby cleaning the emission surfaces 78, 79.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
