To provide a cellulose derivative suitable as a solid polymer electrolyte, which is covalent grafted by anion of organic sodium salt or lithium salt, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparing a solid polymer electrolyte based on modified cellulose, including a) a step for lithiation or sodiumation of at least one hydroxyl group at each repeated unit of cellulose to obtain Li (cellulose) and Na (cellulose), b) a step for reacting the Li (cellulose) or the Na (cellulose) obtained in the step a) with an organic linker in the presence of an aprotic solvent to functionalize them, in which the organic linker takes a roll for covalently binding at least one organic salt with the cellulose.SELECTED DRAWING: None
