To provide a building aseismatic performance evaluation method and a building aseismatic performance evaluation system for easily evaluating remaining aseismatic performance that is aseismatic performance remaining in a building when an earthquake occurs.SOLUTION: In place of a conventional method for evaluating building aseismatic performance, a method for evaluating structure safety performance of a building is provided comprising the steps of: preparing a horizontal displacement measuring instrument 100 that is capable of measuring a relative horizontal displacement between specific layers of a building in time series; conducting structure analysis in beforehand on the basis of design information of the building, and obtaining an omnidirectional limit horizontal displacement value which is a limit horizontal displacement value between the specific layers of the building in surrounding 360° directions when viewed from above; sequentially registering the horizontal displacement values obtained by measuring the relative horizontal displacement in time series between the specific layers by using the horizontal displacement measuring instrument during a period from occurrence of vibration caused by an earthquake until the earthquake has converged; and comparing the plurality of horizontal displacement values arranged in time series with the omnidirectional limit horizontal displacement values when the earthquake has converged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
