To provide a building material management method, a building material management system, and a building material that can improve the traceability of building materials.SOLUTION: By reading identification information formed on the surface side of a building material 20, a user can obtain product information associated with the identification information from a server 10. At an identification information providing step, identification information is continuously formed on the surface side of the building material 20 along the longitudinal direction of the building material 20. Therefore, when a cut building material 25 is cut out by an arbitrary length at an arbitrary position in the longitudinal direction of the building material 20, the identification information can be included in the cut building material 25 cut out.
