To provide nuclear power plant accident countermeasures which effectively prevent or minimizes the risk of steam explosion by minimizing deterioration of additives such as PEG caused by radiation from radioactive substances, and to provide a nuclear power plant with such accident countermeasures applied thereto, and a radiation shielding method.SOLUTION: A nuclear power plant accident countermeasures are disclosed, comprising providing a partitioning member 10 in a pedestal 3, a lower portion of a reactor pressure vessel, where the partitioning member is configured to partition a region from a level at least higher than a water level when water has been injected into the pedestal 3 to a level in the water or a level near the surface of the water into a plurality of sections 11 along a horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
