To provide a remote monitoring technique capable of securing safety during autonomous traveling of an autonomous travel vehicle.SOLUTION: An autonomous travel vehicle transmits to a remote monitoring center a camera image around the vehicle that is captured by a camera, and detects an obstacle on the basis of information obtained from an autonomous sensor including the camera. In a case where the obstacle is detected, the autonomous travel vehicle is automatically stopped. In a case where the autonomous travel vehicle is automatically stopped, the remote monitoring center determines whether to resume traveling of the autonomous travel vehicle on the basis of the received camera image. In a case where the traveling of the autonomous travel vehicle is determined to be resumed, a start signal is transmitted to the autonomous travel vehicle. In a case where the start signal is received from the remote monitoring center, the autonomous travel vehicle resumes the traveling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
