To provide a seat belt retractor and a seatbelt take-up device which enable electric current generated by counter electromotive force to flow back to a motor easily.SOLUTION: A seat belt retractor includes: a spool for taking up a seat be a motor which rotates the spool; a driving circuit which drives the motor; and at least one rectification element which is constantly connected in parallel to the motor and causes electric current generated in the motor by counter electromotive force to flow back to the motor. A seat belt take-up mechanism includes: a spool for taking up a seat be a motor which rotates the spool; and at least one rectification element which is constantly connected in parallel to the motor and causes electric current generated in the motor by counter electromotive force to flow back to the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
