PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an object by an on-vehicle radar, the method allowing detection of an object by suppressing reflection by a window shield when a radar wave is sent or received through the window shield.SOLUTION: A radar wave is sent or received from an on-vehicle radar device equipped in a position more inward than a window shield of a vehicle, which is formed by holding an intermediate layer 13 by a first glass on the outside of the vehicle and a second glass on the inside of the vehicle, through a frequency selection plate 30 set closer to the outside of the vehicle than the second glass of the window shield is and causing a radar wave with a preset frequency band to selectively pass through the plate, and the presence of an object on the outside of the window shield is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
