To provide an effective partition encoding/decoding method with high degree of freedom of partition.SOLUTION: A decoder 600 for reconstructing a specified block 210 of a depth/parallax map 213 associated with an image 215 from a data stream 304 is configured to: segment a reference block 216 of the image 215 by binarizing the image 215 in a range of the reference block 216 positioned in the same place as the specified block 210 for obtaining two segmentations of the reference block into first and second partitions; spatially transfer the two segmentations of the reference block 216 of the image to the specified block 210 of the depth/parallax map 213 for obtaining the first and second partitions 202a and 202b of the specified block 210; and decode the specified block 210 in units of the first and second wedgelet partitions 202a and 202b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 22
