PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacant seat detection system and a vacant seat detection program which can prevent users of a shop from having sense of anxiety, and reduce work of shop employees.;SOLUTION: A vacant seat detection system 100 includes: a human body detection sensor 220 which is prepared under a desk 210 in a shop, and detects a human body; a communication unit 300 which communicates a detection result of the human body detection sensor 220 to the Internet or a cloud; and a portable terminal 500 which can make communication with the Internet or the cloud.
