To provide a method for passivating a stainless steel component, capable of forming a passive film having more improved corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: The method for passivating a stainless steel component comprises the passivation step (S12) of applying or immersing a passivation solution including a peroxide of 1 mass%, a citric acid of less than a mass ratio having a de-passivation pH of stainless steel forming the stainless steel component and the remainder consisting of water to the stainless steel component to passivate it.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
