A method is provided for cell-based delivery of collagen VII for the treatment of epidermolysis bullosa and corneal fistula. The present disclosure also provides compositions and pharmaceutical compositions comprising, or consisting essentially of, or further comprising keratinocyte sheets or corneal cell sheets.
