PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure and method for a seismometer capable of further integrally installing the seismometer to a building.;SOLUTION: An installation structure of a seismometer according to the present invention is the installation structure of the seismometer to be installed at a building. The building includes a planar first plane, and a planar second plane orthogonal to the first plane. The seismometer includes a first contact part coming into contact with the first plane, and a second contact part coming into contact with the second plane. The first contact has three or more first contact points coming into contact with the first plane, and the three or more first contacts points are arranged so as not to be aligned on a straight line.
