To release excessive heat of a main heat source device by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A heat recovery hot water supply system includes: a heat recovery device having a hot water storage tank for recovering hear of a main heat source device and storing the heat as hot water; a water heater; and a control device. The water heater includes: a hot water supply heat exchanger; an auxiliary heat source device for heating the hot water supply heat exchanger; and a hot water supply passage for supplying the hot water stored in the hot water storage tank through the hot water supply heat exchanger. The heat recovery device includes: the hot water storage tank; a heat recovery heat exchanger to which heat of the main heat source device is supplied; a circulation passage for causing the hot water stored in the hot water storage tank to pass through the hot water supply heat exchanger and the heat recovery heat exchanger in this order and then return to the hot water storage tank; and a pump. The control device stops the pump and heats the hot water supply heat exchanger by using the auxiliary heat source device during hot water supply, and drives the pump while stopping the heating of the hot water supply heat exchanger by using the auxiliary heat source device during heat recovery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
