To provide: an oxidation catalyst structure for an automobile or the like capable of exhibiting a stable function over a long period of time by suppressing aggregation of oxidation catalyst substances and preventing the functional deterioration of oxidation catalyst substances.SOLUTION: There is provided an oxidation catalyst structure for an automobile 1 which comprises: a carrier 10 with a porous structure which is a zeolite-type compound and is composed as a honeycomb skeleton body; and oxidation catalyst substances 20 which is inherent in the carrier 10 and is composed of a metal oxide containing a perovskite oxide, wherein the carrier 10 has mutually communicating passages 11 and the oxidation catalyst substances 20 are at least present in the passages 11 of the carrier 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
