The method and system provide virtual surround sound on headphones using an audio input. Embodiments herein relate to sound processing, and more particularly to providing surround sound in headphones. Embodiments herein process surround sound on headphones by processing audio using head-related transfer function (HRTF) filters and other audio processing filters to emulate multiple speakers in 3D space.
