To provide an abnormality detection sensitivity setting device for a rotation mechanism that can appropriately set an abnormality detection sensitivity of a rotation mechanism regardless of the type of the rotation mechanism.SOLUTION: An abnormality detection sensitivity setting device first obtains normal-state vibration data when a rotation mechanism is operated normally. A threshold-level candidate setting means sets a threshold level candidate for determining whether the vibration data in operation are normal or abnormal. At that time, a plurality of threshold level candidates, each having a different level, are created using statistics of the normal-state vibration data. An abnormality detection sensitivity verification means detects an abnormality of each candidate using the plurality of threshold level candidates above with regard to the operated vibration data during a predetermined period of time, and counts the number of abnormal vibration data detected. In addition, a difference of abnormality detection counts between level-adjacent thresholds is calculated to identify a pair of thresholds with small difference.
