To provide a method for predicting the presence of non-simultaneous metastasis in a colon cancer patient from a gene expression level in a tumor tissue acquired from the colon cancer patient.SOLUTION: A method for predicting the presence of non-simultaneous metastasis of a patient having stage 2 colon cancer has: a process of measuring an expression level of at least one gene selected from GNL3L, SLC35A2, UBE2I, IL2RB, and TYMP in a colon cancer tissue acquired from the patient; a process of calculating a score for predicting the presence of non-simultaneous metastasis from the measured expression level, which shows that non-simultaneous metastasis does not occur in the patient in the case where the calculated score is smaller than a reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: None
