PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a castable refractory that recycles used blast furnace trough slag line materials, containing silicon carbide of 40 mass% or more, where the castable refractory has excellent corrosion resistance, and a method for producing the castable refractory.;SOLUTION: A carbon-containing castable refractory recycles used blast furnace trough slag line materials 14, containing silicon carbide of 40 mass% or more. The castable refractory contains: used blast furnace trough slag line materials 14 with a particle size of 2 mm or less of 3-50 mass%; easily-sinterable alumina and/or temporarily sintered alumina with a particle size of 20 μm or less of 3-25 mass%; and spinel containing materials and/or alumina containing materials of 20-80 mass%, as all or part of aggregate, where, the total content of the aggregate is 87-99.5 mass%, provided that the alumina containing materials exclude the easily-sinterable alumina and the temporarily sintered alumina.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
