The invention provides a two phase induction motor and an air conditioner comprising same. The two phase induction motor is high efficient. The output torque is set to be the rated output torque, when the maximal rotation speed appears. The resistance values of a main coil (12) and an auxiliary coil (14) are set. When an AC voltage output by an AC power supply (30) is applied on the main coil (12) and auxiliary coil (14), the maximal rotation speed and rated output torque are obtained.
