PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain size control method for blast furnace charge raw materials capable of performing the regulation of the grain size constitution of the raw materials respectively cut from a plurality of raw material storage tanks and charged to a blast furnace with a simple constitution and capable of attaining the stabilization of a blast furnace operation than the conventional one, and a grain size control device therefor.SOLUTION: Provided is a grain size control method for raw materials cut respectively from a plurality of raw material storage tanks 12, subjected to screening treatment with a vibration screen 17 provided at the lower part of each raw material storage tank 12 and thereafter charged to a blast furnace 13, and also provided is a grain size control device 10 therefor, in which the rotational direction of each vibration screen 17 is set to a normal rotation of performing circular motion to a direction same as the flow-down direction of the oversize raw materials or to a reverse rotation of performing circular motion to a direction reverse to the flow-down direction of the oversize raw materials, and the combination between the normal rotation and the reverse rotation of the rotational direction of each vibration screen 17 is regulated to regulate the grain size constitution of the raw materials charged to the blast furnace 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
