PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel collagenase inhibitor which is not known conventionally and to provide an application article thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a collagenase inhibitor containing a solvent extract of a rice koji in which at least one kind selected from Aspergillus kawachii and Aspergillus awamori is bred. The collagenase inhibitor concerned has an excellent collagenase inhibition activity, and has little toxicity and irritation to a human body. Therefore, it can be used for the application of cosmetic composition, functional food, and the like.
