PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material for enhancing strong and natural flavor of grated Wasabia japonica, especially a crisp, fresh and concentrated green feeling.SOLUTION: A Wasabia japonica flavor promoter composition contains as a Wasabia japonica flavor promoter, one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a group comprising 4-methyl-2-pentenal, 2-nonanol and 8-methyl nonanal, and further, as the occasion demands, one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a group comprising 2-isobutyl thiazole, 2-methyl-2-pentenal and hexanal.
