To provide a heavy load storage device and an installation method of a housing for storing a heavy load capable of easily installing a housing for storing a heavy load in a desired installation place with a small labor and reducing waste of a cost and a space.SOLUTION: A heavy load storage device 2 of the present invention includes a housing 10 for storing a heavy load 4 and mounting bases 20 which are placed on a floor surface FL and on which the housing 10 is mounted. The mounting bases 20 include guide rails 22 formed in a short side direction. The housing 10 includes wheels 12 installed at the same interval as that of the guide rails 22 so as to be capable of moving the housing 10 along the guide rails 22. When a plurality of mounting bases 20 are arranged in line in a short side direction, the guide rails 22 form rails 30 for carrying-in the housing extending in a short side direction passing through the plurality of mounting bases 20 arranged in line.
