PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watching system for enabling a parent to confirm the existence of his or her child from an image including the face of his or her child, and to collect the image as a memorial image such as the growth record of his or her child.SOLUTION: A portable terminal includes: a radio tag identifier determination part; a face image acquisition part; and a face image transmission part. The radio tag identifier determination part is configured to determine whether or not a radio tag identifier included in a received radio wave is the radio tag identifier of a radio tag as a management object. The face image acquisition part is configured to, when the radio tag identifier determination part determines that the radio tag identifier included in the radio wave is the radio tag identifier of the radio tag as the management object, acquire an image including the face of a watching object person.
