PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a long fiber-reinforced composite material capable of providing a molded article having higher mechanical strength and the long fiber-reinforced composite material.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a long fiber-reinforced composite material includes the steps of: heat pressing a polyamide resin and a long fiber by sandwiching them with a first metal foil and a second metal foil; and peeling the first metal foil and the second metal foil after the hot press. The first metal foil has a composition containing a compound containing a silicon atom of 1 to 30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of an epoxy resin on a surface in a side contacting with the polyamide resin or the long fiber. The polyamide resin is constituted by a constitutional unit derived from diamine and a constitutional unit derived from dicarboxylic acid, and 70 mol% or more of the constitutional unit derived from diamine is derived from xylylenediamine.SELECTED DRAWING: None
