PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion type polymer coagulant not only capable of effectively performing soil solidification without blocking growth of plant but also capable of being applied to efficient water purification.SOLUTION: An opaque or opalescent colloidal aqueous solution contains a cationic polymer and an anionic polymer and, when either polymer is set as a first polymer and the other polymer is set as a second polymer, causes the first polymer to be excessively compounded as compared to the second polymer such that a value (C/EW) obtained by dividing a compounding amount (C) of the first polymer with an ion equivalent mass (EW) of the first polymer and a value (C/EW) obtained by dividing a compounding amount (C) of the second polymer with an ion equivalent mass (EW) of the second polymer satisfy the following relation and does not produce sediment: (C/EW)/(C/EW)1.
