PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum anode material for air cell and an aluminum air cell high in current density even at ordinary temperature, maintaining the base status of anode potential even when continuing electrification, making an anode reaction proceed uniformly even under brine environment, less in self corrosion and short in response time till reaching a predetermined voltage after operation.SOLUTION: There are provided an aluminum anode material for air cell containing, Si:0.0001 to 0.0500 mass% (hereafter %), Fe:0.0001 to 0.0500%, Sn:0.01 to 1.00%, Ga:0.005 to 2.000%, further optionally Mg:0.02 to 2.00 mass%, having Sn-based particle density having equivalent circle diameter of 2.0 μm or more of 10/mmor more and Sn-based particle density having equivalent circle diameter of 0.01 to 0.5 μm of 10/mmor more and surface oxide coated film thickness of 10 nm or less, and an aluminum air cell having the same.SELECTED DRAWING: None
