To provide a shunt resistance type current sensor capable of correcting a detection result by a temperature detection part to remove a detection error of a temperature detection part due to heat generated by an electronic component mounted on a circuit board, a correct method of the shunt resistance type current sensor.SOLUTION: The shunt resistance type current sensor includes: a temperature storage part 41 which is configured so as to drive an electronic component 30 mounted on a circuit board 20 in a state that any current does not flow on a bus bar 50 and to record a detection result by a temperature sensor (temperature detection part) 32 for a predetermined time (S21, S22, S23); and a correction value calculation part 42 configured to calculate temperature correction values CV1, CV2 on the detection result by the temperature sensor 32 on the basis of the record result by the temperature storage part 41 (S24,S25,S26).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
