To provide a financial settlement system and method using biological information requiring no card for facilitating the management of face image information by an individual.SOLUTION: A financial settlement method includes: a step in which a server of a financial institution stores and registers financial transaction information such as a customer's name, password, face recognition information and account number information and an affiliated store's terminal-specific number information and account number information; a step in which an affiliated store's terminal receives the input of the customer's password, and transfers it to the server of the financial institution; a step in which the server of the financial institution compares and authenticates the received password and the stored password; a step in which when those passwords are coincident, an affiliated store's terminal camera photographs the customer, and transfers photographed video information to the affiliated store's terminal; a step in which the affiliated store's terminal extracts the face recognition information from the video information; a step in which the affiliated store's terminal compares the extracted face recognition information with the stored face recognition information; a step in which when those face recognition information is coincident, the server of the financial institution executes financial transactions such as account transfer on the basis of the financial transaction information; and a step in which the server of the financial institution transfers a financial transaction result to the affiliated store's terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
