[Problem] To provide a chopped tape fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet material having a higher strength, and a method for preparing the same. [Solution] A chopped tape fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet material is provided with: a plurality of chopped tape fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resins (2) which are chopped to a predetermined width and length, and formed by adhering a plurality of reinforcing fibers (3f), bundled so as to be aligned parallel with each other in a predetermined direction, to the surface of a resin sheet core material (4) such that each of the reinforcing fibers (3f) is aligned in the same direction; and a resin binder that is adhered between the reinforcing fibers in order to fasten into a sheet, the plurality of chopped tape fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resins (2) being arranged flat in a randomly overlapping manner.
