PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily press-fit a steel pipe pile into the ground by sufficiently reducing friction of an inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface of the steel pipe pile using fluid material.SOLUTION: A steel pipe pile 10 has multiple inside/outside connection holes 11 formed in the peripheral surface. In a process of rotating and press-fitting the steel pipe pile into the ground, a portion of water ejected from an outlet e disposed in the inside or the outer circumferential surface side of the steel pipe pile 10 is made to flow to an opposite side peripheral surface of the steel pipe pile 10 through the inside/outside connection hole 11. Accordingly, the steel pipe pile 10 is rotated and press-fitted into the ground while an appropriate amount of water is made to flow on both sides of an inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface of the steel pipe pile 10, respectively. Thereby, the steel pipe pile 10 can satisfactorily be rotated and press-fitted into the ground, while the friction due to the soil and sand working on the steel pipe pile 10 is reduced by water flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
