PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner including an indoor unit informing a distance from the indoor unit to a wireless remote controller, a control method for the air conditioner and a control program for the air conditioner.;SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: at least one indoor unit 30; a wireless communication adapter 20 installed in the indoor unit 30 and connected to the indoor unit 30; and a wireless remote controller 10 for transmission/reception relative to the wireless communication adapter 20. The wireless communication adapter 20 includes: a radio field intensity reception section 23 for receiving radio field intensity that is intensity of radio waves transmitted by the wireless remote controller 10; an informing section 22; and a communication control microcomputer 21.
