To provide a non-human animal model of a retinal vascular disease capable of satisfactorily giving a symptom similar to the human retinal vascular disease such as the human diabetic retinopathy and other and its making method, particularly, provide the non-human animal model suitable for establishment of a treatment, prevention and diagnosis method to the retinal edema becoming the factors of high visual disorder and its making method, and furthermore, provide a screening method of a medical agent for treatment and prevention of the retinal vascular disease using the non-human animal model.SOLUTION: A non-human animal model of a retinal vascular disease is provided that expresses a constant activation type Akt, a making method of the non-human animal model of the retinal vascular disease is provided that expresses the constant activation type Akt, and a screening method of the medical agent for the treatment or prevention of the retinal vascular disease is provided that uses the non-human animal model of the retinal vascular disease expressing the constant activation type Akt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
