PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device of an internal combustion engine for improving gas-liquid separation performance of blow-by gas while suppressing increase in size and weight, etc. of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A breather device 36 of an engine is provided with: a crank case for pivotally supporting a crank shaft; a magneto cover to be attached on one end surface of the crank case; a ring gear 33 to be arranged in a gear chamber R2 between the crank case and the magneto cover; and a breather part 50 for performing gas-liquid separation of blow-by gas. The breather part 50 has: a breather chamber 51 to be formed by partitioning the gear chamber R2 by a partition wall 60; and a breather passage 52 for guiding the blow-by gas introduced in the gear chamber R2 to the breather chamber 51. The breather passage 52 is constituted of: the crank case; the ring gear 33; the partition wall 60; and a passage wall 80 to be provided in the crank case by facing the partition wall 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
