The present invention provides a bobbin transfer device for a roving frame that stops a drive system of support arms by detecting unequal heights of support arms. The bobbin transfer device (16) includes a belt (37) connected at one end to a bobbin support body (18) and wound at the other end; a belt winding unit (38) connected to the other end of the belt (37), the belt (37) being wound therearound; and a plurality of support arms (31) for guiding the elevation of the bobbin support body (18). The bobbin transfer device includes a photosensor (49) serving as a detection unit that detects an elevation difference between the plurality of support arms (31) and a stop device (57) that stops the belt winding unit (38) when the photosensor (49) detects an elevation difference between the plurality of support arms (31).
