PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simultaneously detecting Moorella bacteria and Geobacillus bacteria using a nucleic acid amplification method and a primer set for simultaneously detecting Moorella bacteria and Geobacillus bacteria.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for simultaneously detecting Moorella bacteria and Geobacillus bacteria. The method comprises: using a primer pair, which is a combination of a forward primer consisting of a sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 originated from a gene encoding 16S rRNA of Moorella bacteria and a reverse primer consisting of a sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, and a primer pair, which is a combination of a forward primer consisting of a sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 3 originated from a gene encoding 16S rRNA of Geobacillus bacteria and a reverse primer consisting of a sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 4; and amplifying a nucleic acid extracted from bacteria contained in a subject sample, using the primer pair of Moorella bacteria and the primer pair of Geobacillus bacteria, with the nucleic acid used as a template.SELECTED DRAWING: None
