PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of reducing discomfort or the like due to contact of a body fluid to skin by suppressing a diffusion of a body fluid on a surface sheet and keeping a diffusion of a body fluid in a surface direction to be within a narrower range.;SOLUTION: An absorbent article has a body including: a liquid permeable front surface sheet; a liquid non-permeable rear surface sheet; and an absorber arranged between both of the sheets. The body includes: a first area including a center of an area corresponding to a body fluid discharge outlet of a wearer in wearing; and a second area extending in the periphery of the first area and having an area larger than that of the first area. Hydrophobic particles are applied to a front surface of the front surface sheet.
